A home for thank-yous that matter

Say it properly.
and keep it forever.

Send a real thank-you to someone who did something kind — the kind of note that used to come in the mail. Every thanks you receive lives here, quietly, so you can return to it whenever the world gets loud.

No replies-all. No timelines. Just the note.

Thanks, in the wild

A rolling feed of notes people chose to share. Names are kept private — only the warmth travels.

  • Hi Philip!

You are an amazing example to me of the good that can be accomplished by generously sharing one’s time, talents, resources, and experience to lift others up.

When I was dealing with depression, you had a podcast (and other content) about how you dealt with it.  When I was wondering if I should go for a big dream I have, your post told me to take the risk!  Thinking about getting my kids into college?  Philip has wisdom on that too!  Through your writing you’ve shared shows to watch, books to read, music to listen to, and ideas to think about.  And you have great taste across the board!  Fridays are a little brighter knowing you’ll share something interesting.  😊

Your advice to your son melted my heart. There’s nothing more beautiful than the love of a father!  And the way you talk about your wife and family makes it so clear how much you love and value them.

I admire the way you live life with so much curiosity, sense of adventure, humor, and abundance of pop-culture and music references—just to make things more fun for everyone! (that’s a human-made em dash!)

Last but not least, I will never stop thinking it’s cool that you took a book recommendation from a lowly SAHM and actually read Progress and Poverty.  It can be very isolating staying home with young children, and it has meant a lot to me the way you have kindly included me in the discussion of big ideas, even though my career path has looked very different from yours and many of your friends.

I know you get a lot of praise for your achievements. To be honest, sometimes I find them intimidating. Am I even allowed to talk to someone this accomplished? In those moments, I remember you “break dancing” in your Tablet PC book’s video, and I remember that underneath all the accomplishments, you’re just a silly, normal guy.

Your achievements are impressive, but I’m far more impressed with your character.  You are a good man who is so clearly motivated by improving, learning, sharing, and making life better for others.

Thank you for your goodness and kindness!!  I feel blessed to have been friends with you for almost half my life now!  😊

Hoping the warmth of the sun more regularly graces your life…

    Stay cool,

    Jen

  • Thank you for always proactively choosing a dinner spot for us, for years at this point. I not only completely trust your culinary instincts, but also appreciate your constantly broadening my taste horizons! 🍱🥘🍔

  • Thank you for your encouragement through the last few years as we explored ideas together. You've always been willing to try out things I've built and to brainstorm with me about the best ways to build products. I really appreciate all your support, and wish you the best as we all enter this crazy new world of rapid product building!

  • Thank you so much for making bubble tea every day for me. This tradition, which we've now kept for many years, continues to be something I look forward to each day. Here's to many more pre-diabetic years! 🧋❤️
